I had a total knee replacement on the left knee and am now able to do normal activities. Dr. Darr provided quality care and information. To someone looking for a doctor, I would say Dr. Darr goes right to the point with information and care.
Since my knee surgery I am able to walk, work in the yard, and kneel down again. Dr. Darr provided good medical care and answered all of my questions. Dr. Darr is terrific. My husband is getting his knee surgery done after my recovery.

I am a 60-year-old marathoner and tri-athlete. A volleyball game jump set off my knee in the middle of training for the Big Sur race. Dr. Darr fit me into his schedule, diagnosed the exact problem, and did the surgery. Being an avid equestrian, I was devastated to learn that I had a torn ACL and torn meniscus. I chose to have my surgery with him and followed Dr. Darr's advice to undergo physical therapy as part of my rehab. I found Dr. Darr's surgical ability second to none and his personal convictions are superior to any other doctor that I have experienced. He prayed with my family before surgery, giving us comfort and reassurance that I was in the right hands. Yet, Dr. Darr's true level of compassion came about 6 months later, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. He learned on my condition and called to check that I was doing well and again offer his support. I will not forget his kindness or the fact that I can ride again without pain!
After a knee scope, walking, running, and miscellaneous sports activities are pain free! I have full use of my right knee. Therapy was very helpful in recovery to regain full use of the knee. Dr. Darr and his staff (Gretchen, NP also) were very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable in my diagnosis, operation, and recovery. They were very friendly, accommodating, and instructive during my time under their care. I would highly recommend Dr. Darr and his staff for any orthopedic consultation and surgery.
I have a new life ahead of me. I had a total knee replacement 3 weeks ago and I have experienced no pain and have so many ways my quality of life has changed already. I have full range of motion in my knee, unbelievable stability, and strength. I can now sleep with my leg flat on the bed instead of locked at an angle. Dr. Darr and his whole staff were very thorough in the procedures to be performed, were very accommodating in every way, very polite and courteous. Dr. Darr took an incredible amount of time answering my questions and addressing my concern. He visited me at 6:30am, again at 10:45pm, and again at 5:45am the next morning. Before the ARP Wave procedure on my knees I was unable to stand up from a sitting position without support, and I had difficulty walking. After just one session I was popping out of my chair, and by the end of my sessions I had no pain walking. The staff was very supportive and knowledgeable; I wish I could keep coming. This procedure has given me a new lease on life, with continued physical therapy I hope to be back on the tennis court soon!
I injured my right ACL and meniscus during a soccer game. I wasn't able to walk without a limp before the ARP Wave therapy. After this treatment, I can run at full speed with no pain whatsoever. I received the ARP wave procedure treatment from Dr. Darr. I now have less pain in my knees and hip and am more conscious of evenly distribution of weight. Very helpful. I received the ARP wave post-surgery therapy and it helped me with a faster recovery, less swelling, less pain, and overall better range of motion. I received excellent care and results from this treatment. By all means consider Dr. Darr. I have had very positive results with two separate total knee replacement procedures. I have absolutely no pain while doing all activities of daily living now.
