17 days ago, Dr. Kevin Darr replaced my left hip. I reached a point in time when I was incapacitated and unable to do some things that I would normally do and I put it off for a long time, probably a year or more because nobody likes surgery. The hip was replaced, and it's wonderful, I don't know what else to say. I can stand up straight, I can move around, my posture is better. I recommend it to anyone who needs it It's an absolute blessing. The staff, Dr. Darr, the entire operation was very efficient and handled very well. I highly recommend it.
I had a bad skiing accident and other issues with joint paint. I had a total hip and have been in rehab for 12 weeks, I am almost back to my normal routine again with little or no pain. This is the best decision I made. The quality of care was excellent. When I was ready to make the change, he did the surgery and the outcome was excellent. To a friend looking for a doctor, I would tell them that Dr. Darr is very knowledgeable and you can certainly put your trust in him. He is very up to date on orthopedic procedures.
I am a school teacher. After my total hip replacement, I was able to stand up all day and keep up with my students with no pain. I am able to walk 3 days a week with my friends and I can take care of my flower gardens. It feels so good to be back to normal. The amount of time Dr. Darr spent with me was great He stayed in the room with me until all of my questions were answered. The quality of care was fantastic, even the visits that followed. Just today in the lobby, I spoke to a friend and said that really cares about his patients. He will take time and explain the procedure to you.
After my total hip replacement, I am now able to walk and resume my daily activities. Dr. Darr visited me the following morning and answered all of my questions and concerns. My left hip is no longer painful. Everything is back to normal except for socks/foot care. The relationship and care from Dr. Darr stands out to me. Also, Tabitha has been supportive-kudos to her. To a friend looking for a doctor, I would say that Dr. Darr is a good doctor, check him out.
I had a total hip replacement by Dr. Darr and I am close to 100% improvement. I can walk without limping and with almost no pain at all from time of surgery. Dr. Darr showed great concern for my health and was very comforting to know that as a Christian believer that he prayed; prayer was important before surgery. Dr. Darr performed my right and left hip surgeries. Before my surgeries, I could barely walk and I was in constant pain. My new hips were life changing and my pain is gone now. I had a torn rotator cuff, labrum, and biceps tendon. I was unable to work or perform activities of daily living. I am not yet strong enough to return to work as a physical therapist, but I am proceeding with all activities of daily living and social activities with very minimal pain. I appreciate most the quality of care. It has been outstanding. Dr. Darr is very personable and spends the amount of time needed. He is an excellent surgeon, as evidenced by my quick recovery and low pain levels. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Darr. As a matter of fact, I already have several times.
My whole problem was dislocation of my shoulder and this procedure relieved pain from the dislocation. The tear of my rotator cuff was so big that it would have happened again without surgery. Oh, definitely this procedure has helped me! It has restored function I have not had before. To me, it was a perfect operation. The end result was exactly what I wanted. 5 months after having arthroscopic shoulder surgery, I decided to take up a new hobby, aerial silks, which is all upper body and core work to climb and hang from the silk/ropes. I believe that Dr. Darr took into account that I was very active and a dancer/gymnast/martial artist and adapted my surgery to ensure my return to these activities. Dr. Darr is an amazing surgeon with extensive knowledge of an athlete's body and he is also a caring and concerned physician.
